Sydney, AU. (EMI MUSIC Australia) - After two years away from the live arena, The Vines return Australian shows in Sydney and Melbourne have sold out in record time. Their first Sydney show sold out in two minutes, with a second show added and selling out straight away. Melbourne's Corner Hotel show sold out as fast as fans could buy tickets, and in light of such an overwhelming response, the band are happy to announce they will be playing a third and final show in Sydney, and a second and final Melbourne show.
Extra Sydney show: Annandale Hotel, Tuesday 5th September
Extra Melbourne show: Corner Hotel, Sunday 10th September

Tickets for both Melbourne and Sydney go on sale Thursday August 24th, and will sell out fast, so be advised to get in quick or miss out.

After their amazing surprise return to live performance at this years Splendour In The Grass festival, the band are thrilled and excited to have the opportunity to play live again when for a long time that seemed a distant possibility. This time around they understand how much their fans have stuck by them and intend to repay the favour from the stage.

'It felt amazing to play a show again,' said Craig Nicholls after their Splendour set. 'We just really want to do it more and feel the energy of all those people who love music coming back at us. It's hard to explain, but it seems like everything is alright now, and we just want to enjoy it together'

With the band's new single 'Anysound' released here on August 19th, The Vines now head to the UK to play the Reading and Leeds festivals plus two sold out headline shows in Nottingham and London, before returning to Australia to play their first club shows here in two years. After a well documented tough couple of years for the band, things are looking up, and the band are determined to play shows that will be remembered for all the right reasons.
Tickets on sale Thursday 24th August and all the dates are on the tours page
