LOS ANGELES (LATV) - Upcoming Highlights Include Pitbull (Aug. 23rd), Los Bunkers, Belanova & Allison (Aug. 30), The Pinker Tones & Chetes (Sept 1), Calle 13, Gustavo Cerati & Plastilina Mosh (Sept. 6), and Los Amigos Invisibles (Sept 8)

Popular Los Angeles-based bilingual youth network LATV is bringing on the rock (as well as urban, electronic, and hip-hop) in August and September with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and live performances from the recent Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) in New York. Singled out in last year's New York Times cover story as one of the leading outlets for the exposure of Latin rock in the United States, LATV has been on-hand and broadcasting from the conference since 2001. LATV president Danny Crowe also recently spoke to a standing room-only industry audience at LAMC's "Spanish vs. English In Reaching U.S. Latinos" panel.

Among the artists that will be featured in LATV coverage from the events in New York are Calle 13, Gustavo Cerati, Pitbull, Plastilina Mosh, Los Amigos Invisibles, Los Bunkers, The Pinker Tones, Allison, Belanova, Chetes, Tres Coronas, Mexican Institute of Sound (MIS), and many more leading acts (full schedule follows below).

With its groundbreaking mix of English and Spanish language music and lifestyle programming, LATV has solidified itself as the groundbreaking network among bicultural Latinos in Los Angeles, America's top Hispanic market. LATV's content is predominantly in English, targeting bilingual Latino youth. Each week, LATV has a live in-studio audience. Presently, LATV is the only network airing on basic cable in Los Angeles that reaches the highly sought-after bicultural demographic. A favorite of national advertisers, LATV's sponsors include Verizon, Levi's, McDonald's, VW, Target Stores, and many others.
