New York, NY (Roadrunner Records) - Stone Sour's hit single " Through Glass" recently took the No 1 spot on the Mainstream and Active Rock Charts, marking the first No 1 single in the band's career. The song bests the No 4 charting position the band reached with "Bother," from their Gold-selling, self-titled debut album. "Through Glass" is currently No 7 on the Modern Rock Chart, while the video was officially added to MTV2. The track is the first single off the band's latest album, Come What(ever) May, which debuted at No 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart when it was released on August 1st. Proclaimed by Blender Magazine as an album that "makes anger and angst seem almost fun," Come What(ever) May moved 80,786 units its first week out (triple the first album) and has sold over 191,000 units to date. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver), the album is an exercise in dynamics: tight, crisp, and full of rowdy rockers and melodic numbers. Stone Sour is currently on the Family Values Tour with Korn, The Deftones, Flyleaf and others. This winter they will embark on the Music As A Weapon Tour with Disturbed. Lead vocalist, Corey Taylor is one of the most recognized figures in rock, thanks to his dual role as the frontman for Stone Sour and the Grammy-Winning, Slipknot, a multi-platinum act in its own right. The band is also comprised of guitarist James Root, who does double duty in Slipknot, bassist Shawn Economaki, guitarist Josh Rand and new drummer Roy Mayorga. www.stonesour.com
