Nashville, TN (RCA Nashville) - With the words, 'I had a one-night stand with my best friend's baby sister,' RCA Nashville singer/songwriter Jake Owen sets the stage for a compelling trek through selfishness and wrong roads, appreciation and regret, on 'Startin' with Me,' the Florida native's second single and the title track to his debut album.

The follow-up to his first Top 15 hit, 'Startin' with Me' was co-written by Jake along with Kendall Marvel and album producer Jimmy Ritchey, and reflects a more sobering side to Owen's songwriting.

Music Row magazine's Robert K. Oermann declares the song 'A mini masterpiece. Amid a swirl of moody guitar figures, he chronicles his shortcomings one by one. The lyric is sensational, the chorus melody aches and soars, his vocal performance is both technically powerful and ferociously emotional.'

After spending the summer on the road with Kenny Chesney's The Road & The Radio Tour, Jake will finish the year Well Wasted … with Brad Paisley's Time Well Wasted Tour. Being Wasted is so popular that Pollstar magazine ranks it as the 5th top country tour in attendance for the first half of 2006. See dates below:
