Newport Beach, CA (Serge Entertainment PR/ www.darrenwilseymusic.com) - Throughout the past few months, award-winning composer Darren Wilsey has upped the ante securing numerous sync licensing deals and film scoring deals. "The highlights of the past several months in my composing career have been incredible," remarks Wilsey.

In the Summer of 2005, Wilsey scored a move called Look@Me, a suspense thriller which was released in January in the Asian and European markets under the alternate title of "Murder Dot Com". To Wilsey's astonishment, it apparently did well enough in those markets to warrant a domestic release in the USA. Now you can go to your local Blockbuster and find a copy on the shelf. The film stars Elina Madison, Jeff Doba, Tamika Iamison, and Bryan Kent. Released by Runaway Productions/Maverick Entertainment.

In addition to his success with Look@Me, several songs from Wilsey's catalogue were licensed by MTV shows and MTV related production companies, and a distribution deal/corresponding TV series are in the works for "Life Coach: The Movie", a project Wilsey scored in 2005. The film won Best Comedy at the Queens International Film Festival in New York City (November, 2005).

Wilsey is also the producer and songwriter for recording artist Sarah Lovely, and is currently working on Sarah's follow up to her early 2006 CD release "Platinum". Songs from "Platinum" were included on the two DVD compilations Beverly Hills 90210 - The Complete First Season and Melrose Place - The Complete First Season, both scheduled for release by Paramount on November 7th, 2006. Wilsey just recently concluded scoring and executive producing the film The Wedding Video and is getting ready to score yet another film titled Mommy's House.

Darren Wilsey is an award winning composer, songwriter, and music producer who has written, produced and mixed music for movie soundtracks, advertisements, and network television, including Third Watch (NBC), Ghost Whisper (CBS), Strong Medicine (Lifetime), Tilt (ESPN), Sex and the City (HBO), Punk'd (MTV), Everybody's Doing It (MTV), Queer as Folk (Showtime), Miss Match (NBC), Freshman Diaries (Showtime), Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo), Skin (Fox), Ice Wars (CBS Sports), Poor Little Rich Girls (WB pilot) and Snowboarding World (NBC Sports). He is a conservatory graduate as well as an avid fan and producer of mainstream music spanning several genres. In 2000, he toured the United States with the rock group Vibrolush (V2 Records) in support of the Billboard Modern Rock Top 40 single 'Touch & Go.' Wilsey scored the acclaimed documentary Silicon Alley Stories, written and directed by Emmy Award-Winner Thurston Smith, and won Best Documentary at the 2001 New York Independent Film Festival. In 2003, Wilsey scored another film directed by Thurston Smith called Whoa: The Influence of Art., winning Best Short Film at the New York Independent Film Festival in 2004.

Wilsey is a two-time grand prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (2003 & 2001). In 2003, he was commissioned to score music for ice skating legend and Olympic Gold medalist Brian Boitano, used on tour and the CBS television special Ice Wars. In February 2005, his song 'Fire it Up' was licensed by the E! Network and the music featured in the 2005 British Academy of Film & Television Awards Show commercial. During the summer of 2005 he wrote and produced a full orchestral score for the thriller film Look@Me (IFM International Releasing, Inc), and in October, completed scoring The Life Coach, recently winning Best Comedy at the 2005 Queens International Festival.

In February 2006, The Belkin Electronic Corporation commissioned Wilsey to write music and produce a voiceover tribute played at the 2006 Grammy Awards Welcoming Ceremony, and Ralph Lauren licensed Darren's music for use in the 2006 Polo Fashion Show in Manhattan. Wilsey was a classical guitar major at The Manhattan School of Music, and with advanced academic standing he graduated with a B.M. in 1993. He also studied piano and music composition at The Juilliard School of Music. He holds a B.A. in chemistry from Hunter College, and a M.F.A. from The University of California at Irvine, majoring in music composition and technology on full academic fellowship.
