PHOENIX, AZ. (myspace.com/eklektraphonik) - Eklektraphonik (EKP), an eclectic blend of musicians, producers, writers, artists, and performers, is pumping new life through the veins of the independent music scene. Over the past 5 years EKP has saturated the underground scene with their unique and unparalleled musical experience and captivated the ears of those young and old. While surviving in an industry that is rich with competition and where many artists often succumb to the regenerated sound of mainstream "pop-hop", EKP maintains making music enriched with a true message that sends listeners on a ride full of real life experiences that they can relate to. In addition to performing at numerous venues around Phoenix, Arizona, EKP is also headed to the Grand Canyon to perform at The Grand Hotel and Canyon Star on Thursday October 12, 2006 at 10:00 P.M. then to The Boardwalk in Flagstaff, Az. on November 3, 2006 at 9:00 P.M. Once these 5 musicians step on stage you feel the intensity in the air and you are guaranteed to see one of the best shows of your life as they take full control of the audience with their energetic stage presence and electrifying interaction with the crowd. EKP is composed of four lyricists; Tre Deezy, Bear the Astronot, Snayke Plysk, and Tha Byrd and the always-entertaining veteran mix-master and house junkie, DJ D'Anthony. EKP released their first full-length album titled "Definition" (which can be heard and purchased on their official website: www.ekpriseup.com) in April 2006, and they are currently finishing up their second album titled "Verse-Us" (set to be released towards the end of 2006) as well as solo projects from all four lyricists. They are going to plaster the hip-hop scene in 2007 with an arsenal of mind-boggling and gut-wrenching albums that are sure to catch the eyes and ears of millions. With fans based around the world, EKP strives to give their fans what they want, when they want it. "We nourish a vision of change and revolution, capturing a listening audience by avoiding the monotony inherent in the majority of popular music today". "We like to step outside the box and make music that isn't exactly 'the norm' but rather music that our fans can relate to". You can catch these guys out on the streets holding carwashes, throwing benefit concerts, hosting high school pep-rally's, etc. as this group of artists is involved with the community and strives to build a better future for the youth of today. As EKP continues their journey and speaking out for their generation, they are seeking other locations and venues to perform to an audience of global proportion. So spread the message and tell everybody and their mama they must check this group out.
