NEW YORK, NY. (Universal Express) -- Universal Express Inc. (OTCBB: USXP), division MadPackers announced today the launch of the “Door to Dorm” concert tour, which is planned to begin in March of 2007. The tour will hit 25 schools along the east coast, beginning in Florida and ending in Massachusetts. They are in the final stages of the acquisition of talent for the tour.
“This is a great chance to show students that we are much more than just a shipping and storage company. We represent a change in the way businesses interact with colleges and their students. We hope this brings our vision of ultimate convenience to the college market,” stated President Brian Altomare.
MadPackers will bring the “door to dorm” concert tour to these campuses for students at a substantial discount. Tickets for this show will run between $5 - $10 and the concert will bring two headlining acts, plus several opening bands.
“The opportunity to bring high quality bands to college campuses is a great way for us to give back and simply say thank you to our customers. We feel that it is our duty to stay involved and in tune with the lives of the ever-changing college student,” declared Christopher Adamo, Director of Business Development.
MadPackers will also be partnering with several companies to put together the day festivities. The concert will be an all day campus event with a fully interactive experience between bands and students. The tour will expose students to MadPackers lifestyle brand.
Brian Altomare added, “MadPackers is doing very different and innovative things in the college service industry. Bringing a college music tour to their consumers is just one of many on the horizon in the years to come. They will soon be the total one stop shop for the college student and parent.”
“We are pleased to bring this tour across the country. This allows us access that no other college service companies have on campuses. Upfront and personal relationships to students are the core of our business and without that we could not fully service and understand the needs of our customers,” said Michael Martinez, Sales Director.
“We hope to make this an annual event in which students can have access to new music without denting their wallets. We wanted to keep the tour in line with what the students get when they use MadPackers, a great service at an affordable price,” concluded Christopher Adamo.
