Robert Plant To Guest On New Primal Scream Album

LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) - Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant has signed on for a cameo on the new album by British modern rockers Primal Scream. Plant plays harmonica on the track "The Lord Is My Shotgun," which Primal Scream singer Bobby Gillespie describes as a psychedelic blues song.

Gillespie tells that Plant lives near the band's studio and the two men bumped into each other on the street, and that Plant readily agreed to play on the track. Primal Scream's as-yet-untitled album is due out later this summer and will also feature a guest appearance by fashion model Kate Moss.

Plant, meanwhile, is preparing for the July 16 release of his new album, Head First, which he'll support by opening for the Who beginning July 26 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
