Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG MUSIC Entertaintment) -- Salute all you Aussie Big Day Out-ers 'cos the rulers of the Empire, UK rock squad Kasabian, are coming to Australia for the very first time to lead the charge at the 2007 Big Day Out. While you know they're gonna rock you silly, if guitarist Serge Pizzorno has any say, it's not gonna be pretty. "We are about decadence, having a good time and getting off your head...". Amen. See ya all there! How do you fire up the hottest Aussie gig of the Summer? Add one part Big Day Out to five parts Kasabian (Serge, Tom, Ian, Chris and Jay) and watch the crowds explode.

Zipping straight from their Japan tour, the boys will no doubt get right into the Aussie way of things, kicking their heels up and slamming them down fast - all while treating us to the best anthems they got.

"We are about decadence, having a good time and getting off your head..." warns guitarist Serge Pizzorno.

Having released their sophomore album 'Empire' to no less than a UK #1 debut this year, and nominated for "Best Album" at the 2006 Q Awards, the boys are all barreled up with newies and classics are they're coming to expand the burgeoning boundaries of their empire... and they ain't going home defeated.

"KASABIAN are straight-talking, venomous, mesmerising, assured and full of bravado." (The Advertiser, November 2004)

"Taking a torch to corporate rock and with one eye on the dancefloor, Empire is an edgy and dangerous album like bands just don't make any more. They wanted a revolution. Empire just may have started it." (Herald Sun, September 2006)
'Empire' is now in stores
