Los Angeles, CA. (GoTV Networks) - November 21, 2006 – GoTV Networks, the innovative on-demand mobile television network, has launched a contest which rewards users with cash and prizes for creating original commercials and content.
The Hip Hop Official Hot 16 contest can be found at www.gcbme.com, an online user-generated community. The contest will enlist fans to create user generated content in the form of an original 16-bar rap themed to Hip Hop Official, GoTV Networks' popular mobile channel devoted exclusively to the hip-hop lifestyle. Hip Hop Official has nine regularly updated programs which are offered on-demand, and which feature up-to-the-minute hip-hop content including exclusive artist interviews, news and reviews.
'Hip Hop Official helps fans keep up with the newest music and artists,' said Hip Hop Official's executive producer Daylan Williams. 'This contest encourages them to be the artists and allows them to show off their skills. Hip Hop Official fans can create and customize ads for their favorite mobile channel, vote on their favorite videos, win prizes, and get recognition within the hip-hop community online.'
Hip Hop Official covers the latest in fashion, gadgets, games, movies, music, lifestyle, and features many of hip-hop's hottest celebrities. Hip Hop Official is available through most wireless carriers and can be ordered by visiting www.hiphopofficial.com.
The Hip Hop Official Hot 16 contest for GoTV Networks will begin November 20, 2006 at www.gcbme.com. Submissions will be accepted through December 11, after which the Top 10 entries will be posted on GCBme.com for open voting to select the grand prize winning video. Voting on the top ten entries will end on December 19, 2006 and the final winner will be announced on December 21, 2006. The creator of the grand prize winning video will receive a Coby 4320 PMP Player and will have their video aired on Hip Hop Official's mobile channel and website for one month.
The contest is another initiative from GCBme, the online community where advertisers and brands connect directly with consumers by sponsoring contests based on the creation of user generated content.
