CAMBRIDGE, MA (Top40 Charts/ Garvy J. PR) - Garvy J., an up and coming post pop rock artist and band, has signed on to open for the Goo Goo Dolls New Year's Eve show at Anaheim's House of Blues. After a year of touring throughout Europe, this event marks Garvy J.'s west coast debut.

In line with the Goo Goo Dolls Fans For Peace, Garvy J. will be adding a new dimension in support of the Goo Goo Dolls' cause this New Year's with his powerfully provocative song, "War is over ...Again." Visual effect software guru and director Peter Sand selected the song to turn into a music video he directed that today can be viewed on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaWHqBbcb7A).

Garvy J., the charismatic mastermind of Boston's 90s-era cult band, The Elevator Drops (Arista/BMG), is focusing his singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist talents to cultivate a dynamic electro-acoustic post pop sound. His music invokes the slightly abstract nature of the Elevator Drops but more mellow and focused more upon social issues in a global context rather than strictly personal, as evidenced on his release "What If It All Works Out?" that can be downloaded for free at www.myspace.com/garvyj.

"What if it all Works Out?," Garvy J.'s latest recording, is the result of an evolution that began with The Elevator Drops, a 90s glam rock band, and more recent collaborations with Matt Sharp, ex-Weezer and The Rentals front Man. The multi-mood composition is full of surprises and takes you through an up and down journey that works out in the end.

Garvy J. collaborators included engineer/mixer Paul Hager (The Goo Goo Dolls, The Donnas, Avril Lavinge, Pink), producer/engineer Josh Hager (The Elevator Drops, Maxi Geil, Matt Sharp, Tracy Bonham), producer Paul Kolderine (Radiohead, Hole, Dinosaur Junior) and producer/engineer Thom Flowers (the Ataris). This collaboration resulted in "What if it All Works Out?," an unpredictable, haunting, sonic recording that Daniel Lanois expressed interest in including on his new compilation CD, scheduled for release on Aeria Records in 2007.
