San Francisco, CA (Top40 Charts/ Delvian Records) - Delvian Records announced today that Delvian/GT Productions recording artist Gentle Thunder has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album of the Year for her album "Beyond Words" released on the Delvian Records label. She joins a select group of nominees including Enya, Enigma, Peter Kater, and Andreas Vollenweider.

We could not be happier for GT and her nomination "We could not be happier for GT and her nomination," said Delvian's President Benjamin van der Wel. "She is a very hard-working musician and a very special soul. Her collaboration with previous Grammy-nominees Will Clipman and AmoChip Dabney really is something amazing and it's great to have it offically recognized by a Grammy nomination."

The nominated album "Beyond Words" is Gentle Thunder's third album. She teamed up with pan-global percussionist Will Clipman (previous multi-Grammy nominee) and multi-instrumentalist AmoChip Dabney (this year a double Grammy Nominee also for Best Native American Album with Robert Tree Cody) to create and produce an inspired album that does go "beyond words." The trio utilized a wide-range of instruments including the grand hammer dulcimer, genuine Native American flutes created especially for GT, drums, piano, bass, sax and a variety of percussion to produce that rare album: a creation that moves the spirit that also get a lot of airplay. Many callers to radio stations have been particularly taken with Gentle Thunder's drumming on two of the album's tracks, "Big Sky Sunrise" and "Karma Groove."

Based in Mt. Shasta, California, Gentle Thunder (or "GT") is currently engaged in a whirlwind of media attention including interviews on NPR, a broadcast feature interview for KPIX in San Francisco for the Grammy Awards telecast on February 11, 2007, and many print newspapers. GT is also under serious consideration to perform live on the Grammy Awards Show on CBS.
