Burrito Deluxe Calls On 'Disciples Of Truth'

NASHVILLE, TN. (Luna Chica Records) - Acclaimed country rock/roots band BURRITO DELUXE is set to release "Disciples Of The Truth" on Monday, January 8. The single is the title cut from their forthcoming CD on Luna Chica Records. Radio promotion will be handled by Jerry Duncan Promotions.

"Disciples Of The Truth," written by Tommy Conners and Clay Blaker, is a honky tonk rocker that gleefully recalls a musician's "misspent youth," and features rollicking barrel-house piano and hot slide guitar. Produced by Greg Archilla (Matchbox 20, Neil Young, Santana), "Disciples Of The Truth" sets the stage for the third CD release from the all-star BURRITO DELUXE.

BURRITO DELUXE features Carlton Moody on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin; Walter Egan on electric guitar and vocals; Jeff "Stick" Davis on bass and vocals; Richard Bell on piano, organ, clavinet and accordion; and Bryan Owings on drums and percussion. Together they create a sound that calls to mind such forebears and contemporaries as The Byrds, The Band, Tom Petty, the Amazing Rhythm Aces and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

BURRITO DELUXE has been making musical waves in Europe with DISCIPLES OF THE TRUTH. Since the CD was released there last July, the group has toured the continent performing to excited audiences and receiving great critical acclaim.

In late 2006, BURRITO DELUXE teamed with 1617 Virtual LLC for a high-tech three-month online campaign to familiarize U.S. radio programmers with the band's hearty blend of country/roots music. Via Airplay Direct, Americana, AAA, Country and College radio outlets were introduced to three new tracks from DISCIPLES OF THE TRUTH each month. PDs and DJs were directed to a download site to sample and download broadcast-quality mp3s, and learn about BURRITO DELUXE through a site-generated electronic press kit (EPK).
