(Frankie Knuckles Official Website) - The Godfather of House music Frankie Knuckles started his career as a DJ in NYC, and now triumphantly returns for his 50+ birthday on January 11th, 2007 at Cielo NYC. His special guest The Shapeshifters (aka Shape UK) will play with the House maestro. His name became World Class after the Internationally known Warehouse in Chicago became the place to be. All were welcome in Knuckles House. From that point on Knuckles and House Music became synonymous. Under the watchful eye of Judy Weinstein and the Def Mix organization Knuckles has remixed a list of superstars over the past 20 years. He has a Grammy win and a street named after him where the Warehouse once stood in Chicago, the city where he continues to call home base. After djing for over 25 years Knuckles still tours 10 months out of the year circling the globe several times.

Fast forward to present time, Knuckles launched his on label Noice!music in 2006. His new album DubJ's D'Light introduced his first single on the new imprint, 'The Whistle Song Revisited'. The re record of the classic just peaked as the No 2 Dance single in Billboard Magazine. The album has garnered recognition throughout Europe, Asia and Australia over the past few months. Soon to release Gimmie Gimmie (Disco Shimmy) with a remix by Eric Kupper, and a new bonus edit/remix by Timmy Vegas will be available on Traxsource.com and Beatport.com. Knuckles will also be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Def Mix this August with a world tour for the Def Mix Fab Four (David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Satoshi Tomiie, and Hector Romero) currently in the planning stages.
