NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Manhattan Records) - Blues luminary John Hammond is gearing up for the release of his 31st career album Push Comes To Shove on January 23 2007 on Back Porch Records. A Grammy-Award winner and multiple nominee, Hammond has enjoyed a career that has successfully spanned four decades - working and playing with such blues greats as Muddy Waters, J.J. Cale, Howlin' Wolf and Tom Waits. On his latest release - cut, mixed and mastered in a remarkable 9 days - Hammond teamed up with Philly's own soulful hip-hop artist, G. Love, as producer. The result is the dozen stellar songs on Push Comes To Shove which range from the gritty title track to the hip-hop tinged duet with G. Love on "I'm Tore Down". At 64 years old, John can now also add songwriter to his impressive resume as he wrote an unprecedented five original tunes for Push Comes To Shove.

Hammond will kick-off the release of Push Comes To Shove and supporting tour with a performance at the famed B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in his native New York City on January 23rd. John will also perform at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas. The remaining tour dates are below:
