New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) -
Billy Talent has unveiled plans for a spring U.S. headlining tour. The Toronto-based punk outfit - hot off the heels of two triumphant sold-out UK headline tours - will be joined on the road by
Cancer Bats and Drive By. The band is currently wrapping up a series of arena dates in Canada. A special one off show at the legendary Brixton Academy in the UK followed by a number of arena stops in Germany are scheduled before hitting the States in March.
Guaranteed to be one of the most explosive tours of the spring, the trek will kick off on March 15th at the Icon in Buffalo, NY, with dates continuing through an April 7th show at the Glass House in Pomona, CA.
In other news, the band recently made their U.S. television debut performing 'Red Flag' on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
BILLY TALENT II has drawn critical hosannas from such major national publications as Spin.com, who extolled the band as 'Canada's answer to Fall Out Boy.' 'Resistance is futile,' declared Alternative Press, whose 4-out-of-5-rated review acknowledged Billy Talent as 'one of the most underrated punk bands in operation today.'
