SANTA MONICA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) - The Recording Academy has teamed with Sony BMG Music Entertainment to release the 2007 GRAMMY Nominees CD, which celebrates many of the year's GRAMMY-nominated artists and songs. This year's compilation - due in stores nationwide on Jan. 23 - includes some of the year's best music from several major categories. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit the MusiCares Foundation and the GRAMMY Foundation.

The disc contains many of the most widely recognized GRAMMY categories. The 23 tracks from the 2007 GRAMMY Nominees CD represent nominees from the Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals categories. The CD is made possible by a special arrangement with all of the major music distribution companies and rotates distributors from year to year.

"The 14th edition of the GRAMMY Nominees CD represents some of the great songs and talented artists that make up this year's remarkable nominees," said Neil Portnow, President of The Recording Academy. "We thank Sony BMG for its collaboration on this project, which will provide much needed support for the invaluable programs and initiatives of our MusiCares and GRAMMY Foundations. We look forward to another successful GRAMMY compilation."

"We are proud to continue our successful relationship with The Recording Academy and are honored to be associated with the music industry's biggest event," said Sony BMG's Commercial Music Group President John Ingrassia.
