Against Me! Hit the Road for Headlining Tour

BURBANK, CA (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - Gainesville, Florida's Against Me! will hit the road in February for a long-awaited headlining tour, previewing songs from the genre-blending quartet's upcoming new album, "New Wave," which will be released by Sire Records in the spring.

Against Me! - guitarist/vocalist and founding member Tom Gabel, guitarist James Bowman, drummer Warren Oakes, and bassist Andrew Seward - are currently recording their first album for Sire with famed producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage). The band's previous studio album, the well-received "Searching For A Former Clarity," was released on indie label Fat Wreck Chords in September 2005. Against Me!'s most recent offering is the incendiary live album titled "Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live In London!!!," which was recorded on March 21, 2006 at Mean Fiddler in London.

Catch the band on tour, which kicks off on February 20th in St. Augustine, Florida with support acts Riverboat Gamblers, from Denton, Texas, and Fake Problems, from Naples, Florida.
