New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Sony/ BMG Records) - Sony/BMG's hard rock melodic powerhouse, Red, have released their debut record End of Silence to a nationwide audience. The eleven song effort is one that shows an unparalleled conviction and intensity rarely heard in such a young outfit. Selling nearly 60,000 copies independently since June '06 and over 55,000 "friends" at MySpace, the national unveiling of the debut is bound to make Red a household name. First single "Breathe Into Me" with its angular, staccato riffs and throat shredding yet melodic vocals is a massive introduction to a band forced to be reckoned with. Its striking originality, however instant familiarity will make it a surefire radio hit. Already an overwhelming response from radio, "Breathe Into Me" will impact at Alternative and Active Rock radio on February 13. End of Silence has already garnered a Grammy Nomination for the upcoming 49th Annual Grammy Awards. The awards ceremony will take place on February 11th, 2007 in Los Angeles, CA and telecast live on CBS. Red has been hitting the road in support of End of Silence with Three Days Grace and Flyleaf. The tour will wrap up on February 18th. Red is Michael Barnes (Vocals), Anthony Armstrong (Guitar), Randy Armstrong (Bass, Vocals), Jasen Rauch (Guitar), and Hayden Lamb (Drums). Red is available for interviews.
