NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic recording group Love Arcade has unveiled the latest in a series of cross-country tour dates, introducing fans across
America to their infectious, inventive power pop sound. The updated schedule sees the Detroit-based five-piece - whose debut album, simply dubbed "LOVE ARCADE," hits stores today - sharing stages with a variety of bands. In addition, Love Arcade's song "Keep It Coming" will make its national television debut on an upcoming episode of the MTV series "The Hills," slated to air on February 12th.
Love Arcade recently wrapped up a number of winter shows alongside fellow Atlantic recording group Kill Hannah, as well as Pink Spiders and Action Reaction. Next up, they will join Fueled By Ramen's The Academy Is... for a sold-out NYC performance on February 20th before teaming up with Hit the Lights for the "Let It Ride" tour. Set to take off on April 3rd at Anaheim, California's Chain Reaction, the line-up for the April run also includes Fueled By Ramen's Forgive Durden, as well as All Time Low and Valencia.
Love Arcade is the brainchild of 19-year-old whiz kid Snowhite, who wrote, recorded, produced, and performed the entirety of his "LOVE ARCADE" debut album. Building upon a vast variety of influences - spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, R&B, and anything else that catches his fancy - Snowhite has crafted a remarkable collection that is as catchy as it is creative.
"LOVE ARCADE" has already drawn instantaneous critical acclaim. The album "channels the best aspects of post-modern pop," declared Amplifier, "a dash of Weezer-esque smirking, wise-ass rock, a pinch of Beck-ian DIY abandon, a hint of INXS swing, and even a little hip-hopless Eminem ambience." Snowhite has "a great pop sense," noted All Music Guide, "and a cunning ability to balance sonic messiness with tight underlying structure; note in particular the mannered but quite irresistible 'Keep It Coming' and the explicitly Clash-influenced 'Can't Stop.'"
Now, with a crackerjack band of enthusiastic young musicians in tow, Snowhite is bringing his exuberant sound to the people, making the Love Arcade live experience as delightful and diverse as the album itself. The band has spent much of the last year playing shows with such acts as Yellowcard, Rx Bandits, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hawthorne Heights, Dashboard Confessional and Hellogoodbye, earning itself a fervent fanbase - including nearly 60,000 MySpace friends - with every step along the way.
