BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - MUSE, one of Britain's biggest bands, have secured the Special Guest slot with label mates My Chemical Romance this Spring. Dates have been confirmed for April and May and are listed below. Prior to the U.S. Spring tour, MUSE will perform in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong later this month. A tour of Japan will follow in March leading up to the American dates. As reported previously, MUSE will also headline a pair of shows in California prior to the tour. At press time, the Los Angeles date at the Forum is now sold out.

The Devon-based trio - Matt Bellamy (vocals/guitars), Chris Wolstenholme (bass) and Dom Howard (drums) - are one of the U.K.'s most critically celebrated bands and among the top box office-draws in Europe. Nominations for the 2007 Mastercard-sponsored Brit Awards have just been announced and this year, MUSE has placed in three categories: Best British Group, Best British Live Act, and Mastercard Best British Album - "Black Holes And Revelations." MUSE have also snagged five nominations from the NME Awards including: Best British Group, Best Live Band, Best Album - "Black Holes And Revelations," Best Track - "Supermassive Black Hole," and Sexiest Man - Matt Bellamy. This past November, MUSE won awards for Best Alternative Act and Best Live Act at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Video Awards. The 2007 Brit Awards will be held at Earls Court in London on February 14, 2007. The NME Awards will take place March 1, 2007, at London's Hammersmith Palais.

Here in the U.S., the band's ascent continues to soar. "Starlight," the new single from "Black Holes And Revelations," is currently Top 5 at alterative radio including KROQ in Los Angeles. This marks the band's 4th consecutive Top 10 at that format. Add in skyrocketing digital track sales, online streams, YouTube views, and current MTV 2 rotations, the cumulative momentum has resulted in over 250,000 scanned sales in the U.S. to date.

The American press has also responded in kind: "'Black Holes And Revelations' will push your pleasure buttons," quoted Rolling Stone. Entertainment Weekly offered, "If prog is indeed the new punk, these guys are its Green Day." Blender Magazine enthused, "It has the momentum of a meteor."

Don't miss MUSE live and on tour this Spring. They are truly a force of nature all their own.
