MONTREAL, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Grand Entertainment & Music) - Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. is pleased to announce that Qbanito was invited to perform during Montreal's 8th Edition of the Hydro-Québec Celebration of Light.
The festival's entertainment lineup was announced last Wednesday morning. Qbanito is set to headline two shows on February 23rd on the festival's main stage at the Old Port of Montreal. The Hydro-Québec Celebration of Light (Festival Montréal En Lumière) is a two weekend long outdoor celebration featuring non-stop entertainment and festivities. Despite the frigid Canadian winter weather, thousands of people come out to enjoy the activities. The Old Port of Montreal, which is also the home of the Spring Montreal Music Festival, is literally lit up for this winter gala. Aside from the live band performances, the weekend programs also include light shows, fireworks, and DJ performances. For more information on the festival, you may view the festival's website at https://www.montrealenlumiere.com.
"The Celebration of Light is something that Canadians look forward to every year," stated President, Fred Berlin. "We spend a good part of the winter locked up indoors trying to stay warm. This festival is an excuse for everyone to get out of the house and celebrate our culture. It is noteworthy that Qbanito was invited to headline shows on the outdoor stage. This invitation proves that Qbanito has been accepted as a part of Montreal's music and culture. The festival will be great exposure for him. He will be up on the main stage, performing for thousands of fans and new listeners, and the timing couldn't be better. He's just got his first French album out in Europe, we are expecting a spring release date for his follow up French album, and we are continuing to further concentrate on marketing avenues in the U.S. 2007 is shaping up to be a great year for this young, Latin artist."
