NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ BluesWax) - BluesWax announced today the results of their annual end of year voting for 2006 Best Album; with fans and critic's giving the nod to blues veteran and guitar slinger Walter Trout for his CD "Full Circle".

BluesWax is the largest subscription based blues publication in the world.

The nominating process for BluesWax Album of the Year 2006 began back in November with readers and contributors making nominations. The nominating process created the final ballot of:

*Ain't Easy No More-Mark Hummel
*Do I Move You-Janiva Magness
*Full Circle-Walter Trout
*Last Call-Lynwood Slim
*The Torch-Ronnie Baker Brooks
*Watermelon Slim and the Workers-Watermelon Slim and the Workers

In the final voting, with record returns, Walter Trout's "Full Circle" was named BluesWax Album of the Year 2006.

"Full Circle" is about Walter being in the music world for 35 years and embracing where he is, where he has been, and where he is going. It is the fulfillment of a long held dream to invite musical friends in the studio, and let the music evolve in the moment, spontaneous, while utilizing the different nuances of different players' strengths.

Walter's first studio CD in 5 years, "Full Circle" includes guest performances by John Mayall, Jeff Healey, Coco Montoya, Joe Bonamassa, Bernard Allison, Eric Sardinas and many more. Full Circle debuted at No 2 on the Billboard Blues charts, staying in the top 10 for the next 12 weeks. This is Walter's 8th release for blues label, Ruf Records.
