NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Zenbu Media) - Zenbu Media has announced the expansion of its music media company with the acquisition of Metal Edge, which covers mainstream heavy rock and Metal Maniacs, a publication that focuses on indie and emerging extreme metal acts. Zenbu Media president Steve Bernstein made the announcement.
Zenbu currently publishes Relix, the magazine for music, and world music publication Global Rhythm. With the addition of these titles, Zenbu Media will reach well over a million readers, targeting passionate music fans across multiple genres and bringing broadened opportunities for partners and brands interested in penetrating this hard-to-reach demographic.
Covering bands across the hard rock spectrum - from classic metal to thrash to punk, Metal Edge is considered a leading voice in the mainstream metal media. Thriving since 1985, Metal Edge is published twelve times a year - providing in-depth coverage of current musical acts, including band profiles, news of the latest releases and coverage of the biggest tours.
Metal Maniacs provides exposure to the best underground extreme metal bands. Scouring the globe for the greatest unheard-of bands, Metal Maniacs has, for nearly 20 years, provided one of the few outlets for these acts and a way for fans to unearth the greatest unheralded death metal, black metal, thrash, grind and doom bands.
"As with Relix and Global Rhythm these publications speak to an audience of die-hard music fans," said Bernstein. "They have both been around for a number of years and have their fingers on the pulse of the scene. We're excited that they're joining the Zenbu family."
Zenbu Media is pleased to also announce that Dov Teta will stay on as Director of Advertising Sales for Metal Edge and Metal Maniacs. In addition, Liz Ciavarella, Metal Maniacs Editor-in-Chief, Chrissy Seemer, Metal Maniacs Associate Editor, Katherine Santiago, Metal Edge Editor-in-Chief and Rosa Henriquez, Metal Edge Associate Editor will join Zenbu Media and remain in their positions.
