Flintstone, Ga (Top40 Charts/ Farm Boy Music Group) - Goldrush was on the way up! A country band from Dalton, Ga had a record deal in the works and a debut album almost finished when the band suddenly fell apart. They were featured performers at the Statue of Liberty Rededication in 1986. A reunion was planned to start recording again last year and disaster struck when two of the four members died quite suddenly. It seemed to be the end of Goldrush.

The remaining members have decided to continue with the recording. Members, Steve Ledford, of the Mark Chesnutt Band, and Gary R. Farmer, owner of the Farm Boy Music Group and countrysongcrafters.com have formulated a plan to re-record the former bands album with the help of guitarist Dennis Brown. With the internet being the basis for staying in touch, the band members are recording by doing one part at a time and sending those to each other over the internet. Gary R. Farmer has been using the internet for doing song production for songwriters for some time and after reuniting with Steve Ledford the plan was launched. Dennis Brown was friends with original band guitarist Randy Stennett and can closely approximate Stennett's style of playing.

"While this will be a labor of love for all three of us, it will also help to give us closure to the untimely deaths of our friends.", says Farmer. "The internet affords us an opportunity for recording that we have not had before.", he continues. "Technology is a wonderful thing and with it we have the time to work through each arrangement and produce a product that we can proud of," says Ledford. The original project was not complete having only had 9 of the 12 planned tracks complete. Ledford and Farmer are writing new material and searching from other songwriters for the remaining 3 planned cuts.

The fourth member and drummer, Mike Hammontree had moved to the Murphy, NC area and died suddenly before the plan to start recording again had been formulated.

Album release is planned for late 2007. The album will be available through a number of internet sales sites and possible digital downloads.
