NEW YORK, NY. (Top40-Charts/ Back Porch Records) - Writing in the Arts & Leisure section of The New York Times, Lucinda Williams had this to say about Texas-bred singer-songwriter Carrie Rodriguez:
"She's got something unique in her voice that's very subtle and a little smoky and sweet. ... I detect a certain wisdom in her, and yet a sense of wonder as well."

Beginning in April, in support of her critically-acclaimed Back Porch debut solo album, "Seven Angels On A Bicycle," Carrie Rodriguez has landed the enviable spot of touring with the incomparable Lucinda Williams. Carrie will also do a whirlwind series of nine shows in five days at this year's South By Southwest Music Festival in her hometown of Austin, Texas.

"Seven Angels On A Bicycle" was co-produced by Carrie and Chip Taylor, and features an eclectic group of musicians: jazz guitarist Bill Frisell and his own frequent bandmates, drummer Kenny Wollesen and bassist (and fellow Back Porch artist) Viktor Krauss; pedal and lap steel player Greg Leisz, jazz saxophonist (and Carrie's husband) Javier Vercher; and Taylor on acoustic guitar. Carrie's touring band will consist of: Carrie Rodriguez - vocals, fiddle & mandobird; Hans Holzen - electric guitar; Kyle Kegerreis - stand up bass; Sam Baker - drums
