Sydney, AU. (Top40-Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - Lights flicker and bells chime. The far-out sound of thunder draws nearer. Jennifer Herrema and her horsemen are returned and WESTERN XTERMINATOR is the recollection of their long journey.

RTX release the solid flanged and wacked rock of WESTERN XTERMINATOR on February 24 and better still they are touring Australia for the first time 2 weeks later to support the album.

RTX for the uninitiated is the band Jennifer Herrema formed after the demise of Royal Trux. In her rock and roll career, Jennifer Herrema's name has been inscribed in Royal Trux's fuck-all masterpieces like TWIN INFINITIVES and The Radio Video EP, tite rock lick-jams like THANK YOU and SWEET SIXTEEN (both from Royal Trux's infamous stay at Virgin Records) and an assortment of Drag City favorites, like CATS AND DOGS and ACCELERATOR. Neil and Jennifer did it all. But they didn't do this.

WESTERN XTERMINATOR plunges from a flute-driven prelude into what brought you here today: the solid rock corps of RTX. Their survival depends on it and in the sun-drenched new frontier, RTX have your back.
WESTERN XTERMINATOR runs the rock up the flagpole and rolls it around in strong winds.

Sounds heavy, right? A listen to this and you'll be convinced as we are it's even heavier. But no amount of meaning is going to stop the rock and roll. Put it this way if you don't know what RTX stands for, it's 'Rad Times Xpress.' So get on board!

RTX play the following shows this March:

Friday 9th March: Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne tickets $20 from the venue?
Saturday 10th March: Calvin Klein Jeans runway performance at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (FREE)
Sunday 11th March: Spectrum, Sydney (co presented by Spunk)
tickets $23 plus BF from www.moshtix.com.au

WESTERN XTERMINATOR is released February 24th on Spunk!
