(Top40 Charts/ Music World Entertainment) - Music World Entertainment announced today that, "DREAMGIRLS - Music From the Motion Picture," the official soundtrack album for the film, released by Music World Music/Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax received the NAACP Award for Outstanding Soundtrack. The official announcement was made at the NAACP Awards live broadcast on Fox on March 2, 2007. The soundtrack is featured in the new smash hit, "Dreamgirls," the acclaimed DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures film directed by Bill Condon. In addition to the NAACP Award, the "Dreamgirls" Movie, Soundtrack and gifted cast have been honored by countless nominations and wins, by prestigious organizations including: the Academy Awards (Oscars), Grammys, Golden Globes, SAG, BFAC and many others. The soundtrack also remains America's No 1 Album & No 1 Soundtrack, and is the First Movie Musical Soundtrack to Hit No 1 on Billboard Top 200 Since 1978's "Grease." The "Dreamgirls" soundtrack is continuing to make chart-topping history and it features the great talent of Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy and Anika Noni Rose.
