Music Australia)-Gwen Stefani is a music and fashion icon. Beginning with her career as the lead singer of the multi-platinum Grammy award winning band No Doubt, Gwen has performed the world over including the Super Bowl halftime show and opening spots for the
Rolling Stones and U2.
Her multi-platinum debut album, 2004's Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (which reached No 1 on the Aussie charts), featured the breakout hit 'Hollaback Girl' which went on to become the first song ever to reach the 1 million digital download milestone.
Along the way Gwen has graced the covers of countless music, fashion and lifestyle magazines all while launching her own hugely successful L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers clothing and accessories lines.
2007 marks the launch of Gwen's world tour in support of her already platinum new album, The Sweet Escape (released Dec 06), which includes the hit singles 'The Sweet Escape featuring Akon' and 'Wind It Up.'
She never made it to Australia with the Love. Angel. Music. Baby record, but she will with this album.
Gwen brings The Sweet Escape Tour to Australia this July and August. The tour starts in Brisbane on July 28, plays Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finishes in Perth on August 7.

Stefani says of the coming tour, 'It's so much fun. I love the idea of being able to go into my theatrical side.'
Promoter Michael Chugg says that concerts these days are million dollar spectaculars and who better than Gwen, visually and musically inspired, to bring a new dimension. 'She's got it all. She's on the money with how something looks, sounds and how it feels.'
'She's not up-to-date. She's ahead of the rest, always, and Australian audiences are going to get her unique and different style of amazing, in a live concert.'
Stefani says, 'To hear and see people singing the songs back to me – they bought the record, they know the songs – you see yourself in them, in the crowd. It kind of makes it worth it, so I have to go on tour.'
