TORONTO, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Canadian Music Awards) - Rephlektor inkorporated congratulates eccodek (aka the multi-ethnic collective led by Canadian producer Andrew McPherson) on being named "Best World Music Group" at the 2007 Canadian Music Awards ("The Indies.") Other notable winners included Arctic Monkeys, Feist, MSTRKRFT and Wolfmother. For more info visit https://www.cmw.net/cmw2007/awards_indies.asp

Eccodek's victory at the The Indies precedes the April 24 US release of their new album Voices Have Eyes - the follow up to 2006's widely acclaimed More Africa In Us. eccodek's Voices Have Eyes continues to explore the crossroads where global groove, dub and electronica converge, expanding on a palate shaped by such innovators as African Head Charge, Bill Laswell, Mad Professor and Kruder & Dorfmeister.

Now in its 25th year, Canadian Music Week is the single longest running and premiere conference focusing on the Canadian Music business. CMW combines informative, intensive conferences, cutting edge trade exposition, award shows & Canada's biggest New Music Festival.

The Indies officially kicked off Rogers Wireless CMW 2007 on Wednesday March 7, 2007 at Toronto's The Docks Entertainment Complex. The show featured performances by Wolfmother and The Stills, among others.
