NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Arista Records) - Paula DeAnda, a 17 year old musical artist whose ubiquitous debut single "Doing Too Much" and recent hit "Walk Away" introduced the world to her musical talent, will be performing a live concert in the Second Life online world on May 21st. An avatar or "animated character" is currently being designed in Paula's likeness for the event where Paula will perform a live set of her chart-topping hits to a virtual audience and chat with fans at 8 pm EST. Second Life is a 3-D interactive world entirely built and owned by its residents and is inhabited by over 5 million people from across the globe. Anyone can create a free basic membership at https://www.secondlife.com and attend the show.

Paula DeAnda comments: "I cannot wait for this event to happen! It will be so incredible to perform and chat with my fans worldwide in real time, and how cool is that to have an animated character created for me! I live online and chat with my fans constantly, so this is a huge thrill and amazing opportunity."
Comments Tom Corson, Executive Vice President and GM, J/Arista Records: "This concert is another example of Paula as a multi-channel, multi- threat entertainer. Paula's personal interaction with her online community is simply 'next level'. We hope this is the first of many Second Life events for Paula and other artists on the J/Arista roster."

In the meantime, fans can log on to https://www.pauladeanda.com, her newly revamped 2.0 site which launches today, where they can create their own profile (like Myspace.com), message with other fans, add other Paula fans to their page, share photos, videos, album and tour reviews. The new site also features a contest where fans can help Paula by creating their own music video for her new single "When It Was Me." Paula will pick the ten best video submissions, and the winner will have their video posted on https://www.pauladeanda.com and will be able to meet Paula in person.

Signed on the spot at her audition with Clive Davis last year at the young age of 16, DeAnda's self-titled Arista debut has sold over 1.6 digital singles and ringtones, and over 190,000 scanned physical albums. A huge MySpacer herself, Paula has over 280,000 friends at MySpace, and is the No 2 Most Searched Latin artist on the site above Shakira, RBD and Frankie J. The breakthrough video for "Walk Away" debuted in the Top 10 on MTV's Total Request Live and remained in the Top 20 at Yahoo! Music for over 3 months after its worldwide debut there in December.

The new single from her self-titled debut, "When It Was Me" was the No 1 most added song at the Rhythm Radio format its first two weeks out, beating out Ciara, Mike Jones and Ne-Yo and the single goes for adds at the Top 40 format this week. Her current hit single "Walk Away" still tops the pop charts and has enjoyed a massive audience of over 50 million.
