Fatone has signed on to make his Broadway debut in Rent beginning Aug. 5, according to a spokesperson for the group at Jive Records. Fatone will take over the role of Mark, the narrator of the show, through Dec. 22. Although this is Fatone's first stage role, he has previously appeared in several films, including a starring role opposite fellow 'NSyncer Lance Bass in 2001's On the Line. Fatone can also be seen in a supporting role in current box office surprise My Big Fat Greek Wedding and opposite Alex Baldwin and William F. Macy in the upcoming The Cooler. While Fatone will be crossing over from music to acting, thespian Mike Myers is looking to go the opposite direction. The Austin Powers star has been in talks with Who singer Roger Daltrey about the possibility of playing late drummer Keith Moon in a story about his life. Moon died of a drug overdose in 1978 at the age of 32. "I think Keith Moon was a fascinating character," Myers told the AP. There was no further information on the possible film at press time. In other entertainment crossover news, the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger and Keith Richards will be given the requisite animated treatment on an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, due to air in November. Ice Cube will add to his acting resume as the leader of a biker gang in the upcoming Warner Bros. film Torque.
