NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ VH1) - Rock royalty took the stage by storm performing songs that made a whole generation turn the volume up - way up. Hosted by Bam Margera, the second annual "VH1 Rock Honors," honored the music and influence of Genesis, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne and ZZ Top.

Taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 12, "VH1 Rock Honors," premieres Thursday, May 24 at 9PM* on VH1, VH1 Classic and MHD. The show saluted these groundbreaking bands of rock through spoken tributes, filmed packages and performances by some of today's hottest rock acts as well as the legends themselves.

The rock celebration started with a "sharp dressed" Nickleback paying tribute to ZZ Top with a performance of "Sharp Dressed Man." Then ZZ Top rocked the house as they took the stage with "Gimme All Your Lovin" and "La Grange/Tush."

Nancy Wilson joined tribute artists Gretchen Wilson and Alice in Chains in their rendition of Heart's "Barracuda." Heart then blasted on to the stage with their fan favorites "Straight On" and "Crazy On You."

Keane's haunting sounds of Genesis' "That's All" set the stage for the newly-reunited members of Genesis to perform "No Son of Mine" and "Turn It On Again."

Queens of the Stone Age gave an explosive performance of Ozzy Osbourne's "Paranoid" followed by the "Prince Of Darkness" himself taking the stage to perform his new single "I Don't Wanna Stop" and the classic "Crazy Train."

The show also included appearances by Cameron Diaz, Jada Pinkett Smith, Billy Bob Thornton, Robin Williams, Criss Angel and Taylor Hawkins as they paid tribute to the legends that influenced the sound of rock.
