Canadian singer/songwriter Brant Pethick has been composing and writing music for several years, and has spent the past year producing and recording a collection of original music for his first solo release titled, "A New Day".
As drummer, songwriter and vocalist for the Ottawa based rock band On The Edge, Brant enjoyed success with the self-titled debut record, On The Edge, which sold over 3,500 copies and crossed four broadcast formats (A/C, MOR, Rock and Country).
Two professional self-produced and self-funded videos received regular airplay on Much Music, Musique Plus, Video Hits and YTV.
"The Beer Drinking Song" was featured in the Canadian movie Harmony Cats, which was nominated for a Genie award as best picture and featured Canada's own country sensation, Lisa Brokop.
"In Your Touch" reached No 1 on various Ottawa Valley radio station countdowns.
"In My Mind" played on regular rotation on Majic 100 FMs Night Majic program for a three-year period.
On The Edge extensively toured regions of Ontario, Western Quebec, and Northern New York and performed for the Queen of England and the Prime Minister of Canada. On The Edge also headlined at the Gloucester Fair and was an opening act for Blue Rodeo.
