LOS ANGELES (Mystikal Fans Website) -
Police in Baton Rouge, La., have entered into evidence a videotape allegedly showing rapper
Mystikal and two accountancies raping a 40-year-old female, according to a spokesperson for the Baton
Rouge Police.
Mystikal - real name Michael Tyler -- turned himself in last Thursday (July 18) on the charges. He was arrested, along with Leland Ellis and Vercy Carter, and released on $250,000 bond.
According to police, the alleged victim arrived at Mystikal's home on July 3 to braid the rapper's hair. During the styling, Mystikal allegedly began questioning the woman about checks she had cashed from the rapper's bank account without his authorization before ordering her to "get into the bedroom and take your clothes off" or he'd call the police.
Mystikal then allegedly forced the woman to perform oral sex on him while he called two accountancies, Ellis and Carter, and told them to come over. Police then allege that Mystikal ordered Ellis to videotape the rapper engaging in sex with the woman, then sodomized her off camera, then ordered the resumption of videotaping while Ellis and Carter had sex with the woman.
After being contacted by the alleged victim on July 4, police seized a video camera and safe from Mystikal's apartment, the latter of which they opened on July 9 and seized the videotape inside.
A statement from the alleged victim was also given to police from Mystikal's lawyer, Gary Harvey, that same day, saying she had engaged in consensual sex with the accused, but that statement was later retracted after the woman claimed she was confused when she signed the affidavit and still intended to pursue charges.
"I am extremely confident that Mystikal will be exonerated of all charges that are currently pending against him," said Mystikal's co-counsel, Michael Guy, on Friday (July 19). Guy also reports that all of the rapper's scheduled appearances for July and August will continue as planned.
A court date for the rapper, however, had not yet been scheduled at press time.
