NEW YORK (RnB Magazine Newsletter) - Lil' Kim, who has written seven songs for her third album, won't dwell on sexual themes. On her next album, which will follow 2000's poorly received Notorious K.I.M., the Notorious B.I.G. protege will make a concerted effort to appeal to her expanded fan base, which ranges from pop to hip-hop to R&B. "I'm not just gonna do the sexual thing just because that's what everybody wants me to do," the artist born Kimberly Jones told the BBC. "A whole album of sexual things--to me that's not gonna help me win all way 'round because I don't think one person is made up of one thing." "So, I'm an entertainer, I'm versatile, and I'm creative enough to be able to do a bunch of different kinds of music." Kim recently showcased a bit of her versatility as a guest on Beenie Man's "Fresh From Yard" where she exhibits an impressive reggae chant. The song is featured on Beenie Man's Tropical Storm album.
