COACHELLA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Spotlight 29 Casino) - They are originators of hip-hop, now Guy & Blackstreet are coming to Spotlight 29 Casino for an old school hip-hop concert that will blow the roof off the joint.

Blackstreet set the hip-hop standard with their big hits "Booti Call" and "No Diggity," and Guy laid it down with the mega hits "Groove Me" and "Piece of My Love," creating a cross-over sound that led to worldwide acclaim, multi-platinum sales and even a Grammy win.

Innovative and influential, Guy is widely considered by music writers to be a seminal R&B group, and the first to sport the new jack swing sound. Originally formed in 1987, Guy first featured vocalists Aaron Hall and Timmy Gatling, and their self-titled debut album was an instant mega hit, propelled to chart-topping success by the tracks "Groove Me," "I Like" and "Spend the Night." In 1990, Guy released "The Future," which featured Albert Damion Hall in place of Gatling and the R&B smash hits "Do Me Right," "D-O-G Me Out," "Let's Chill" and "Long Gone."

Blackstreet was one of the top R&B bands of the 1990s, formed after Guy broke up. Their self-titled debut album premiered in 1994, and unleashed a string of hits, including "Before I Let You Go," "Booti Call" and "Joy," making the band a multi-platinum-selling success. Their mega hit "No Diggity," which featured Dr. Dre, topped the pop charts for four weeks and won a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal by a Duo or Group.

Show time for Guy & Blackstreet is 8 p.m. Tickets from $45 are available now at Spotlight29.com and at the Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or by calling 800-585-3737.
