LOS ANGELES (Stone Temple Pilots Official Website) - Stone Temple Pilots' lead singer Scott Weiland and his wife, Mary, had a baby girl on Saturday (July 20) at 9:17 a.m. in Los Angeles.

Lucy Olivia Weiland clocked in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long, according to the band's official Web site. This is the couple's second child. They had a boy, Noah Mercer, in November 2000.

In other STP news, the band will perform at the San Diego Street Scene in downtown San Diego on Sept. 6. As previously reported, STP's also on board for the Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary show on Sept. 7 at California Motor Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

On the recording front, Weiland -? along with Ian Astbury and Scott Stapp of Creed ?- are reportedly planning to contribute vocals to a new Doors album. Astbury is also performing live with the surviving members of the Doors for the Harley-Davidson anniversary show on Sept. 6 at the California Motor Speedway.
