TRIPNOTICA Presents New York's Record Release Party for Garbage's Greatest Hits Album, Absolute Garbage

New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ UMe Records) - TRIPNOTICA, in collaboration with UMe Records, presents the New York pre-record release party for Garbage's thrilling greatest hits album, Absolute Garbage (UMe, 7/17/07). The official preview event will include promotional giveaways and will be held at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn.

In addition to Absolute Garbage's premiere, TRIPNOTICA will also hold the exclusive listening party for Auralgasms "Breath Of Stars" Compilation CD. Auralgasms features the best in unsigned downtempo and electronic music. Promotional copies of the release will be distributed at the event.

The night also features another installment of its unique monthly electronica/downtempo concert event with live performances by five of the East Coast's most exciting indie bands - including the angel-voiced Natalie Walker (Formerly of Daughter Darling); the stirring and soulful Mudville, and the melancholy Elizabeth Harper & The Matinee ("the female Morrissey"-The Big Takeover magazine).

Also, downtempo and electronica surprise guest DJs will provide the musical soundtrack for live art works created by celebrated mixed-media artists all night long.

TRIPNOTICA is a new, vibrant New York-based collective of musicians, artists, filmmakers, and designers who - in collaboration with Filter Magazine, Properlychilled.com, Deli Magazine, and others - are dedicated to showcasing the latest, most diverse, tripped-out live music and art at monthly underground downtown concerts and parties.
