LOS ANGELES (Paulina Rubio Fans Website) - The futuristic music video for "Don't Say Goodbye," the first single from Paulina Rubio's Border Girl album, came courtesy of the Brothers Strause, but for her next video the Latin pop singer hopes to take a step back in time. Rubio has taken it upon herself to write the video treatment for her second single, a midtempo, guitar-driven ballad titled "The One You Love." Rubio told that she envisions a clip with a western theme. "I can just imagine a spaghetti western with sepias and me and a horse, fighting with guys and drinking tequila like a spaghetti western, but you never know," she says. "That's some of the treatments that I've been writing to film this new video, and I love this song." The actual video shoot will take place the first week of August, according to Rubio, although she told us a director has not yet been selected. The Mexican singer also noted that "The One You Love" is one of her favorite songs because it is driven by "amazing Mexican guitar" riffs. "It's a love song. It's one of my favorites. I chose the guitars because it's a feminine instrument for the whole album, so when I'm not singing, all types of guitars--they can express my voice," she says. Rubio adds, "It's one of those songs that the more you hear it, the more you love it."
