NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Fox Television) - Crooner Brian Evans, who has been performing as the opening act for the likes of Social Distortion, Better Than Ezra, Jay Leno, Joan Rivers and the late Lou Rawls, has licensed his song "
It Had To Be You" for the hit Fox Television series "So You Think You Can Dance", which will air his song this Wednesday, July 18th, during the 8:00 p.m. telecast.
"Obviously, it's a thrill to me to know that millions and millions of people will get the chance to hear me sing," says Evans.
It won't be their only chance.
In October, the new Dylan McDermott series "Big Shots" will air worldwide, and that will be Evans you hear crooning his version of "Witchcraft."
"My climb has been a slow one, but when I get to where I intend on going, I'll be staying there."
Evans is currently working on what will be his major label debut. The album features eight original songs and four covers.
"I wanted to show the world that I can write, and that I'm not just a major label karaoke act that performs songs everyone else already did, and they all did it better than anyone covering them. It's just been the luck of the draw and they got the machine behind them first, but that never meant they were better performers because they weren't," says Evans. "I am not going away."
The Fox show is the second song of Evans to be licensed by a major network in the past 60 days.
"I appreciate everything I have, and every person who likes my music. It's my whole life, so how could I not appreciate it."
