London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ RCA) - Sure, it's technically an old release, but 2007 is shaping up to be the year of the Foo in more ways then one.
First up to the plate is the 10th anniversary edition of The Colour And The Shape, featuring the originals we all know and love and still hear non stop on your local rock station. Plus — it now comes repackaged with b-sides and covers including the likes of Killing Joke and Gary Numan. Both interesting choices that turn out surprisingly robust. The re-release is ideal to purchase as either an introductory to the Foo Fighters catalog, and for those long time fans that have played their previous copy in to the ground over the past ten years. I can't say much more that hasn't already been said about this album a million times over, but 'tis is a classic.
In other Foo Fighters news there is a new album on the horizon. Titled Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace it will hit stores September 25th, and finds the band returning to work with producer Gil Norton. The tracklisting reads: The Pretender, Let It Die, Erase/Replace, Long Road To Ruin, Come Alive, Stranger Things Have Happened, Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make-Up Is Running), Summers End, Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners, Statues, But, Honestly, Home
We'll be ranting and raving closer to the release date.
