Auckland, New Zealand (Top 40 Charts/ Guitar Mastery) - Guitar Mastery Ltd, a New Zealand-based company that specializes in on-line guitar lessons has just launched its latest guitar scale learning module for improvising guitarists. This new module focuses on helping guitar players interested in improvisation learn how to solo musically through key changes.

Learning to use guitar scales through key changes is a skill that is often challenging to develop. Often guitar players don't have an organized and structured method of developing this skill. And in many cases, this lack of structured learning can cause slow progress and frustration for the aspiring improviser.

The new module is currently only available to members of Guitar Scale Mastery, which is an on-line membership guitar website that launched earlier this year. This membership website helps guitar players learn, internalize and use guitar scales in a practical way.

As company director Craig Bassett said "One of the commitments we have made is to help guitar players learn to use guitar scales in a musical way. Many guitar scale-learning methods don't do this effectively. They just give lots of scale fingerings but don't help guitarists actually use them. The latest module we have released helps guitarists learn how to change between different scales in a very smooth way. It also helps guitarists develop their intellectual understanding of guitar scales, and their ability to internalize the sounds of different scales through ear-training. These are vital skills needed to improvise fluently through key changes".

When asked about who would benefit the most from developing the skill of playing through key changes, Craig Bassett replied, "Improvising guitarists who enjoy rock, jazz, blues or fusion. These are styles of guitar playing where there is often a large amount of improvisation involved. Learning to play through key changes helps improvising guitarists internalize their scales on a very deep level. And this deep understanding of guitar scales almost always leads to an improvement in overall improvisation ability".
