LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Heads Up/ Roxboro Entertainment) - Renowned jazz bassist Stanley Clarke recently mastered his new album, 'Toys of Men,' at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Recording engineer Jerry Brown joined Bernie Grundman for the sessions with the innovative Clarke.

Philadelphia-born Stanley Clarke has been a mainstay of the jazz scene since he began his career in New York City, 1971. In addition to working with such luminaries as Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Dexter Gordon, Pharaoh Sanders, Gil Evans, and Stan Getz, Clarke also joined the jazz fusion group Return to Forever, led by pianist Chick Corea. Clarke has released a number of successful solo albums and continues as a headlining concert performer.

Clarke has also worked as a composer, orchestrator, conductor and performer for such films as Boyz N the Hood, Passenger 57, What's Love Got to Do with It (the Tina Turner story), Poetic Justice, Romeo Must Die, and The Five Heartbeats.

'Toys of Men' is set for October release on the Heads Up/Roxboro Entertainment label.
