LOS ANGELES (RnB Magazine) - The announcement of Diana Ross's summer tour cancellation last week was reportedly prompted by the singer's health problems.

Ross's reps at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) told the Cerritos Center in Southern California - where Ross was to kick off a string of West Coast tour dates with two shows - that "the state of Ms. Ross's health make it impossible for her to fulfill her touring obligations," according to AP.

Back in May, Ross checked herself into Promises, a California rehab center, to deal with "personal issues." At the time, her publicist Paul Bloch said Ross entered the facility because "she wanted to be in great shape because she is someone who feels a sense of responsibility to her family and her fans."

Ross has had a tough time with her career and personal life in recent years. In 1999, she made headlines when she was detained by authorities in Britain for allegedly grabbing the breast of a female airport-security guard--Ross claimed that the guard had grabbed her breast first during a routine search. In February of 2000, she split with her husband of 14 years because he wanted to live in Europe and she preferred to stay in America.
A few months later, in the summer of 2000, promoters were forced to cancel the remaining 14 of 22 dates on the so-called Supremes "reunion" tour due to poor ticket sales.
