FRANKFURT, GERMANY (Top40 Charts/ Napster) - Napster, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAPS) today announced an agreement with a leading German consumer electronics manufacturer, Maxfield, for a marketing partnership that will give customers who purchase Maxfield's new flagship MP3 player, the MAX Tiburon Grande Deluxe, instant access to the Napster To Go digital music service. Under terms of the agreement, the innovative packaging for the MAX Tiburon Grande Deluxe features Napster branding and a six-month subscription for Napster To Go.

The six-month subscription for Napster To Go includes unlimited, on-demand access to Napster's massive catalog. In addition to millions of tracks, Napster subscribers enjoy interactive, advertisment-free radio stations, playlists developed by music-industry professionals, and a host of community features to encourage discovery of new music.

The limited edition MAX Tiburen Grande Deluxe, which Maxfield and Napster will introduce at the upcoming IFA 2007 exhibition in Berlin, comes with four gigabytes of memory and will be the premier MP3 player offered from Maxfield's new MAX Tiburon product line, featuring a unique concave design to improve handling and ergonomics. Its scratch-resistant magnesium housing is extremely lightweight. It also contains an FM radio tuner and a Li-Ion battery that will provide up to 14 hours of continuous music, video and photo entertainment.

The MAX Tiburen Grande will be available in German stores in September 2007 as limited deluxe version for EUR 169 ($200 USD). Both companies are supporting the partnership with a variety of online and direct marketing activities.
