Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Universal South) - Tuesday morning, more than 1.75 million people woke up to Joe Nichols talking about Real Things, while Nichols himself awoke to some of the best album reviews of his career. Nichols decided to spend his release day playing guest host DJ with 25 morning shows coast to coast, as well as CNN Radio. And while he joked and chatted with some of the country's most popular radio morning teams, the glowing reviews on his brand new release, Real Things, were stacking up.

AP critic Tom Gardner proclaimed Real Things 'the best album of his career and probably the best country album this year.' Likewise USA Today's Brian Mansfield stamped the CD with a three and a half out of four star rating and called him 'a country singer's singer' and 'one of the genre's finest young ballad singers.' He goes on to say Real Things is his 'best-sounding record yet.'

Mario Tarradell of the Dallas Morning News labels this release Nichols' benchmark CD, and calls it 'a daring artistic leap.' Nichols has often been heralded as leading the pack of young new traditionalists, and Tarradell seems to agree: 'Twenty years after Randy Travis, Dwight Yoakam and Ricky Van Shelton put country music's new traditionalist movement on the map, Joe Nichols heads the second wave of male singers honoring hallmarks of the genre.'

Nichols picks up his tour tonight in Rapid City, SD. For additional tour dates and more information on the artist, please visit www.joenichols.com.
