Tego Calderon considered by many as one of the top purveyors in the latin hip hop and reggaeton genres, is ready for action with the release of his new album "El Abayarde Contra-ataca" (El Abayarde Strikes Again) due out on Tuesday August 28th.
The "enemy of the wasibiris", the "street poet" goes back to his spicy style and with a lot of "sandungo" in an album that combines merengue fusions with Colombian and Venezuelan rhythms without losing his authentic style that has turned him into a favorite among the public. This album, the fourth of his career, is one of his most mature and important productions up to date.
Five years have passed since his first album "El Abayarde", name with which his fans identify him. Tego has great expectations with this new recording which includes special guest appearances of several singers like Pirulo in "Quiereme como Soy", Calle 13 and Yaviah in "Cual es el Plan", Pirulo in "Los Mios", "Quitarte To" with Randy, "Lo Hecho, Hecho esta" with Chyno, Nyno, Pirulo and Voltio.
"El Abayarde Contra-ataca" premieres with the first single "Tradicional A Lo Bravo", which is already topping the charts in international radio, combining several musical rhythms like the merengue and the Colombian ballenato.
"El Abayarde Contra-ataca", which is being released under the Warner Music Latina label, pays homage to Calderon's unique style, an artist influenced by salsa, afro Caribbean rhythms and his own street experiences that have turned him into a phenomenon in the genre.
