NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Fuse TV) - fuse, the national music television network, signed American Idol finalist, Jared Cotter, to co-host fuse's live daily magazine show, The Sauce. The Sauce, which launched in April 2007 and airs daily at 6 pm EST, is packed with live performances, celebrity interviews and the latest and greatest updates from the world of music, fashion and technology. Cotter joins fuse's team of hosts, veteran Steven Smith and new host Holly Hannula.

'As a music centric network, we are thrilled to welcome Jared Cotter, a true music enthusiast, to The Sauce's team of hosts,' said David Weier, vice president, Music Programming and Artist Relations. 'As an experienced musician, Jared has an ability to relate to the many celebrities that come through our studio, and as a self-professed music fan, he will connect with our viewers who are tuning in to hear from and about their favorite artists.'

Cotter joined The Sauce as a guest host in June. In his short time on the program, he has hosted shows featuring performances by Grammy Award winning artists Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5, and has interviewed numerous celebrities and musical guests from Rupert Grint and Joey Fatone to O.A.R., Silversun Pickups and Paramore.

Growing up in a family with an appreciation for the arts and where music was a way of life, Cotter is no stranger to the music scene. His great grandfather was the first African American jazz player to perform at Carnegie Hall. And his father played with Nile Rogers and the late Bernard Edwards of Chic in the late 1970's. Cotter grew up listening to musical styles ranging from jazz and hip hop to R&B and pop, which ultimately led him to the American Idol auditions. A natural in the spotlight, he engaged millions of viewers each night on the American Idol stage, beating thousands to become a top 16 finalist. Now, appearing on fuse every night, Jared has opened for platinum-selling artist Avant, and has performed at legendary venues such as BB King's and Village Underground.
