BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - British trio Muse - which is singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic
Howard - will headline Austin City Limits this Saturday,
September 15th. Muse is stepping into the slot vacated by The
White Stripes who pulled out of playing the festival for health reasons.
The ACL music festival marks one of Muse's last U.S. 2007 dates touring in support of their latest album "Black Holes And Revelations," which debuted at Number 9 on Billboard's album chart last July and has been hailed by critics on both sides of the Atlantic as Muse's best album yet.
The band's latest single, "Supermassive Black Hole," is Muse's third Top 10 hit at Modern Rock from the album, currently lodged at Number 7, while "Knights of Cydonia" and "Starlight" had also previously climbed the charts. The band's previous and third studio album, 2003's "Absolution," has recently been RIAA certified gold in the U.S., with "Black Holes And Revelations" fast on its heels.
Rolling Stone Magazine declares, "... 'Black Holes And Revelations' will push your pleasure buttons." Blender Magazine agrees, stating, "'Black Holes' strikes the mother-load... 45 brutally efficient minutes, and has the momentum of a meteor."
Muse recently headlined New York City's prestigious Madison Square Garden arena and the famed Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
